European Space Agency astronaut Sophie Adenot arrived at the European Astronaut Centre in Cologne, Germany, early October 10 after returning to Earth with Crew-12.

ESA reports that Adenot spent 237 days, five hours and 18 minutes in space after launching in February. The agency says the flight set a European record for a single mission and included three spacewalks totaling 19 hours and 42 minutes.

Her work included 35 European payloads, station maintenance and experiments spanning health, biology, materials, fluid physics and radiation. She also supported tests of an exercise system and in-orbit metal 3D printing.

Adenot is scheduled to spend two to three weeks adapting to gravity and completing data collection at the German Aerospace Center’s :envihab facility. Rehabilitation and follow-up work will continue afterward, so arrival in Europe marks the transition to postflight recovery rather than the end of mission analysis.
