Crew-12 splashes down off Los Angeles after 237-day mission

The Dragon capsule landed off the California coast at 8:34 a.m. Pacific before recovery teams began securing the spacecraft.

NASA reported that the Crew-12 Dragon splashed down off Los Angeles, California, at 11:34 a.m. Eastern, or 8:34 a.m. Pacific, on October 8. Recovery teams then began securing the capsule and preparing to lift it onto the recovery ship.

The returning crew comprised NASA astronauts Jessica Meir and Jack Hathaway, European Space Agency astronaut Sophie Adenot and Roscosmos cosmonaut Andrey Fedyaev. Their landing followed an October 7 undocking from the International Space Station.

The four completed 237 days aboard the station and conducted four spacewalks during the mission. It was the first spaceflight for Hathaway and Adenot, the second for Fedyaev, and it brought Meir to 440 cumulative days in space.
