The European Cybersecurity Competence Centre reported on October 16 that its governing board and the network of national coordination centres had met in Cyprus from October 13 through 15. Their agenda focused on coordinating cybersecurity investment and implementing European funding programs.

The governing board amended the Digital Europe cybersecurity work program for 2025–2027. The revision adds a dedicated section connected with the EU Action Plan on Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence. This is a program-development decision, not an announcement that a new security system has already been deployed across Europe.

Board members also approved proposed membership of the Strategic Advisory Group. National coordination centres discussed support for projects already funded through Digital Europe and ways to connect organizations working on cybersecurity capacity. These institutions help link European-level programs with participation in individual countries.

The meetings concern governance, investment and cooperation. The centre’s account does not describe a newly discovered cyberattack or establish the results of a specific security intervention. Future funding decisions and implementation will determine how the revised work program translates into operational capabilities.
