National wildfire staffing continued to decline in the November 1 morning report. The active-incident resource summary listed 382 personnel, down 104, while six large fires remained uncontained. One large incident was reported contained and no new large incidents were listed.
Initial-attack activity totaled 58 fires. Assigned resources in the summary included two crews, 16 engines and two helicopters. National preparedness stayed at Level 1, although individual coordination areas had their own preparedness ratings.
