Data users were given a revised November 2 cutoff in NOAA’s October 30 final reminder about Suomi NPP. The latest notice specifies 15:40 UTC for the end of remaining science-product delivery, superseding the earlier 13:00 UTC timing reproduced lower on the same notice.

The listed products include ATMS, CERES, both OMPS modes and VIIRS. Direct broadcast is also scheduled to be disabled. NOAA describes the delivery interruption as permanent and identifies NOAA-21 as the primary replacement source, with NOAA-20 providing secondary coverage through similar instruments.

The notice also outlines a separate spacecraft disposal phase. Incremental lowering is planned to begin December 1 and continue through approximately December 12 for reentry over the South Pacific. NOAA says it will provide daily status updates after December 1.

This article reports the published transition schedule, not independent confirmation that every product stopped at the appointed minute. For downstream services, the operational issue is the move to replacement satellite products; the later deorbit remains a distinct planned activity.
