Maryland technology-development organization TEDCO accepted a Federal and State Technology Partnership Program grant from the U.S. Small Business Administration. The award will expand its Proposal Lab for companies pursuing Small Business Innovation Research and Small Business Technology Transfer funding.
The program uses a series of workshops to help first-time and early-stage applicants prepare federal proposals. The expanded version will add commercialization assistance alongside proposal development, business advising and planning for technology growth.
TEDCO reports that FAST-supported Proposal Lab programs assisted more than 190 Maryland small businesses from 2018 through 2025. It attributes 56 Phase I and Phase II awards totaling more than $33 million to participants during that period.
Those historical results provide context for the expansion but do not guarantee awards for a new applicant. Companies still compete within the federal programs, and later cohorts will show how the added commercialization support affects participation and funding outcomes.
