TEDCO expands federal research-proposal training for Maryland firms
The SBA-supported program will add commercialization assistance for first-time and early-stage innovation applicants.
TEDCO accepted a Federal and State Technology Partnership Program grant to expand its Maryland Proposal Lab for small businesses pursuing federal research and development awards.
Workshops will combine proposal preparation with business advice and commercialization support. TEDCO says earlier FAST-supported labs assisted more than 190 Maryland companies from 2018 through 2025 and helped participants secure 56 Phase I and II awards.
The new grant expands the support structure rather than guaranteeing federal funding to participants. Businesses must still meet program requirements and compete for individual awards.
